Our Wren Cottage Birdhouses are handmade by the Amish using upcycled barn wood.  The upcycled tin roof on each house is slanted or rounded so rainwater runs off keeping the nest inside dry. The roof is not flush, so as to provide necessary ventilation. 

Wren Birdhouses are ornithologically designed because wrens prefer a house with a hole no bigger than 1.25" in diameter. This is so larger, more aggressive birds can't enter and take over the birdhouse.
