 What You Need to Add to the Mix for Classic Cornbread

• 2 1/4 cups buttermilk or milk
• 3 large eggs
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Baking Instructions

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 
• Blend cornbread mix, milk, eggs, oil, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  
• Pour into a well greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan or large skillet and place in the oven.
• Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
• Makes 12-14 servings
• Serve with chili or soup for supper or with butter and hot syrup for breakfast.
