Homemade chili in only 45 minutes

Cooking directions

• In a 3 or 4-quart pot, brown the ground beef.
• Stir in the chili mix packet only. then, add all 5 additional ingredients needed for the chili as listed below. 
• Next, bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to a simmer.
  
• Now, add the chocolate from the packet, cover, and cook for 45 minutes. 
• Remember to remove the bay leaf before serving the chili with cornbread.
• Add cheddar cheese and sour cream to the top if you like.
• Makes about 6-8 servings.

Additional items needed to make the chili

• 2 pounds ground sirloin (or chuck or round)
• 1 can of tomato sauce (26-30 ounces)
• ½ cup barbeque sauce (sweet rather than smoky)
• 1 cup water
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
